Our Story

Food is a part of everyone’s story. We eat for sustenance, business meetings, celebrations, etc. After being isolated from the pandemic, Carla wanted to open place where her parents could sit and enjoy the company of others. She brought in musicians to entertain on Fridays, and for a couple years, her parents were able to enjoy the atmosphere that the restaurant created. We are so grateful to our friends who have supported us through the years, and who stopped by our location in Vernon, CA to spread the love.

 

Peruvian food is so diverse. We have dishes inspired from Asian cuisine like Lomo Saltado, juicy rotisserie chicken created by a Swiss immigrant, Indigenous and African influenced dish CauCau. With so many flavors and dishes choosing to eat at a Peruvian restaurant is so easy.

 

At Carlita’s we pride ourselves on offering an array of Peruvian sweets too. Mazamorra Morada, Torta de Chocolate, Leche Asada, the list goes on! We hope to have you stop by and try our food.
